First day of work at Koi was quite smooth. But I reckon more tedious work in days to come! My two supervisors are quite fun-loving people, in my opinion, partly because they are Taiwanese, tend to be more friendly. As for the Singaporeans, they probably need a few days to get used to a newcomer. All right! I'm there to work, making friends is secondary. On a last note, working there is rather fun, the environment is so chinese-y, that's all! Btw, do drop by @ Koi Amk, I'll be there, waiting for you to visit me! Goodbye!

p/s: First day of work, I coincidentally met a science teacher from my secondary school while scooping some slime pearls!

I've gotten all the things that I need for prom yesterday.

Pretty excited about how everything is coming along. I guess I'll just go with the flow. Did I mention I'll be getting help from Kim, my church friend to help me and a few of my friends with make up and hairstyling for prom. Anticipating everything to be fun, fun, fun and more fun!

Did I also mention that I caught HPATDH yesterday. It was more of a prelude to the part two. Pretty draggy but I guess through this, it does justice to the very long novel. All I can say is, second part will definitely be more of climax and definitely more mind-blowing! Goodnight!

Ringing bells

My recent days had been quite a roller coaster. My grandmother admitting into the hospital due to her leg/foot injury. She underwent an operation which was very successful and she is healing well. Through this period, I could see my family coming together in helping my grandma to recover quickly. She should be discharged one of these days. I love my family. Blessed.

So, the O's English paper starts today, I'm pretty excited. Probably don't wanna be an ambitious fella. I'll just wait and see how everything goes. I wouldn't say I've studied every single topic for every subject but I'd say I did my best for the revision. However or whatever others perceive of me, my conscience is clear. There is nothing I can be afraid of.

Looking forward to the beginning and the end.

In Elva Hsiao's latest music video, she had her nails painted. A colour that both Clatjw and I super duper fancy. It is a bit dull but ultra sweet and it suits all occassions as in clothings wise. I've no idea what the specific name of this colour is, so I'll name it, "Ash-like dirty greyish brown".

No joke, folks! BABYSHOW (Show Lo Chih Hsiang) is a very versatile actor. Indeed, he has been nominated twice for the Best Actor category in the Taiwan Golden Bell Awards in 2005 and 2009. TGBA is somewhat similar to Sg's Star Awards. All I can say is, he is a born actor. The versatility in him is double thumbs up!

I visited a Traditional Chinese doctor last Monday with my Grandma. Pretty amusing because I get to experience acupuncture on my philtrum. I never knew what this particular body part was called in English until I translated it from Chinese. (人中 = philtrum) -- Good back massage by the doctor and acupunctures on my calves. Felt much comfortable after the treatment.

Hello everyone! I missed blogging! But apparently due to being excessively down in photographs lately, I haven't been updating this space. Sometimes I think no one comes here because it has became so boring... But I'm still going to update it now nonetheless!

I joined Clara's church to play badminton last Saturday. We were supposed to act pros. We did but not a really good job. I shall not elaborate further. Oh by the way, I've became into a total cheena pok, like a literal one. I've been tuning to Chinese music and CHEENA only. Pretty cool.

I've been quite into this Chinese twitter of the late, too. It is called, Weibo. Because BABYSHOW is there, I've been quite hyped up over there! Verified account workay! Try tracking his account and mine down, let me preempt you first, everything is in the language of Chinese! So... Prelims two are approaching. Revisions and extra attention have to be set on proper. I'm quite scared. Let's see how everything goes.

Lastly, my school prom will be held at Carlton Hotel, 60 bucks and the theme is Classic - Mosaic. Tell me whether it is fun or not? Grr. The whole normal academic agreed on Retro but the final say was brought in by don't know who and Classic had a louder voice. What to do? Tell me, an exciting school of choice. How true... RIGHT.

The seventh month of the year

July is a month that I LOVE and HATE because of many reasons. Hahaha :) :(

6/7 Firstly, celebrated Jia Le's seventeenth birthday @ Botak Jones. The massive cheese was w-o-a-h! Glenda and I purposely ordered the same dish as the birthday boy. Hanged out at the usual spot after every gathering. Bishan bubble tea, well-known for after dinners and after school lepak corner. Stayed up with Gladys after the celebration. Roamed around Bishan aimlessly but I enjoyed the company lots/tons/loads!! (*Rachel~ Waiting for photographs to be uploaded)

10/7 Secondly, Show Luo came for his Singapore's second apparel store outlet STAGE opening ceremony. About eleven at night, we had a private celebration for Show Luo at the function room of the hotel that he was staying over at. Was glad that he promised that he will attend the private celebration. Everyone was really shocked by his candidness. He opened himself to a free question and answer session. Everyone was so happy, and I'm sure he was equally elated, too.

14/7 Thirdly,

#1 - Went swimming with Glenda and Clara!!!! Its been long since I enjoyed the cool pool of water. But a saddening thing happened during our almost-perfectly-pleasant-but-turned-out-unpleasant swim. I brought along my dad's waterproof camera and...

#2 - I destroyed my dad's waterproof camera. It was disastrous, my dad kept telling me he has used the camera for more than two years, all along working well but only when it kept into my hands, water ran into the battery compartment blablabla

#3 - While I was on my way to town for Joseph's birthday celebration, I realised the strap of the watch that I was wearing BROKE. Me, extremely stupid discreetly borrowing it to wear it without my dad's permission.......

#4 - On a happier note. Celebrated Joseph's birthday which made me slightly happier laughing at the silly break dancing by Anthony and David, I was amused. (*Rachel~ Waiting for photographs to be uploaded)

15/7 Fourthly, my dad got his worker to install three air conditioning in three various rooms... Installed only for one day, the next day it all turned from cold air to hot air. My itchy fingers destroyed the remote controls... I detached the battery casing and it now became so loose. I'm not sure if I'm describing it correctly but it is how it has became into.

16/7 Fifthly,

#1 - Preliminary examination 1 is OVER (yay or nay?)

#2 - My monthly period has came to visit. Supposedly wanted to swim with Gladys and Clara. Sorry I flew you girls an aeroplane too suddenly.

#3 - I just received a call from my little sister that she lost her mobile phone. Her number was my previous contact number which means it is not a prepaid number, it is a permanent line but not anymore now. My second sister called the servicing hotline to suspend the line.

WHY SO SUAY? I NEED SOME FLOWERS TO WASH OFF BAD LUCK. SIAN.....

My dad is a firm supporter of the Dutch since a long time ago. Every tournament I'd ask him which country is he supporting, his reply will never change and say, "Holland!" FIFA 2010 will be a battle between Spain and Netherlands. Irregardless whether my dad wishes Holland to win or not, I'm rooting for Spain all the way!

I initially wanted to support Brazil in this FIFA tournament but who knows they got eliminated so quickly. So, I'm all in for Spain! (Since EURO 2008) Let me share something adorable about my dad, he showed me this predictory email about which country will win the cup. Apparently the email stated some calculations and it led to Germany winning the title... But sad to say, Spain shall be the champs!

I'm a happy kid because David Villa scored at the eighty-third minute against Paraguay! I'm a delighted kid because Spain won Paraguay! Even though it was only 1-Nil, that is still the happiest news for moi! I'm a not-so-smiley kid because Torres is still barren with his goals this tournament, he even got substituted half-way which I do not know why. After the EURO 2008 which Spain emerged as champs, I'm sure they will continue to fight for the championship this FIFA! I'm a not-so-ecstatic kid because Spain will be meeting Germany in the next match. I'll root for Spain nonetheless, till the very end! (After Brazil's terrible loss...)

Hello folks of the twenty first century! Last week, I had a surprise birthday celebration from my best pals! Though before you all arrived I actually had suspicions and yes, it was blurted even before you all arrived! Still, I'm thankful for the organiser, who is none other than my sister, Murphi! Also, her co-organisers, Glenda, Rachel and the rest!

Today, I met up with Rojaks! Burger King breakfast, Toy Story 3 @ Cineleisure (which was awwwwwwsome!! Ten thumbs up!), neoprint (once in eons), Far East Plaza-ing getting best dealzz.

Today was sort of a meet-the-famous-bloggers-day! Rojaks and I saw Missingavenue at Cineleisure. She kept her cool when she saw us staring at her somehow. She is somewhat a public figure, she is probably used to people staring at her so she didn't really had much reaction. It was nice seeing her in person, tall and slim.

Secondly, after Clara and Amirah left FEP. Glenda and I continued to shop and G eventually found her ideal shoes. Soft pink loafers with shoe laces at the front. We were done with our shopping and we were just about to step out of FEP... (We have already walked to the FEP main door exit) Kaykay walked in between G and I!

I quickly looked into G's eyes and hers were looking at mine, too. I quickly whispered to her in an extremely excited voice, "Glenda! Kaykay!!!! She's freaking pretty!" We were just "that" close to her, we could literally see her fake eyelashes and her silver-ish make up! Can you imagine the distance? (Hahaha)

As I've mentioned, G and I have already stepped out of FEP, our feet were nicely placed at the carpet of the FEP main entrance. We were so excited that we saw Kaykay in person, we stood still on the carpet, turned around and quickly looked for her.

N: Glenda, where is she?

G: There! There..! (Points to the right)

N: Ahhhh! Where?? She is missing now!

G: She went over to the other side! (Points to the left)

N: Ohhh, I saw her! Eh... It's XIAXUE!!!!!!!

We couldn't believe our eyes at first. Lo and behold, it was really XX before our eyes! A petite lady in white or was it pink? Basically it was either her top that was pink or her mini skirt was white. (Vice versa) It was quite an experience meeting these Singaporean bloggers in person. Fancy G and I getting a tad too excited or was it just me?

G and I quickly tweeted that we saw KK and XX at FEP. I was extremely enthusiastic, literally talking in quite a loud voice. G said Kaykay saw us looking at her which was kinda awkward but she had a smile on while keeping watch of us. We even tried to locate for them and get a second glance but we couldn't find them after several twirls in FEP.

So we made our way home.

In conclusion, I had fun with Rojaks and I managed to spend quality time with them. I'm glad I get to meet these famous bloggers in person, too. Goodbye! ☺☺☺

Young kid no more

Crying is good but excessive crying is just plain stupidity. Many friends of mine may not know that I'm actually an extremely emotional person by nature. I tear quite easily, sometimes even without any apparent reason.

Just like last night, I cried so bitterly as if someone died. (Touch wood, I'm just giving a suitable example) My laptop crashed and I cried for two hours straight. I then realised that I shouldn't have cried over such a trivial matter. But still, you know how saddening it is to know that I'll be probably losing all the data stored in my laptop.

It also taught me a painful lesson, to back up all storage data. To trust that I actually promote hard disk during the days when working at the IT fair. I'm currently on my way to my uncle's office. Hoping to find a solution to fix my crashed laptop or at least, restore my songs, photographs and video. My...... Beloved laptop.. :(

Aye, so many things to do every holiday. As for this holiday, there are more than irritating extra supplementary lessons which are all for our good sake. That's quite miserable but I guess I'm not alone in this. (Smiles)

This holiday shall be a fruitful one spent with my lovely dearies!! Time will be spent, playing, crapping and catching up! We even planned to set up a blog shop for real. Ah, it sounds really exciting isn't it?! Okay... Some may find this exaggerating but I came up with a plan/proposal on what we're going to do before leaving to watch our biennial school public performance, Te Deum! Like, hair and make-up. It may sound silly but I'm sure I'll enjoy the camaraderie with my fellow girls. Love ya'll to bits!

I should prepare for school now. Meeting the girls at J8 for lunch and prepare for the torturous hundred and twenty minutes of absolute "fun" during Social Studies later on! Goodbye!

Weekend mania

I love the weekends! Time for ketchup and fellowship.

Firstly, my sisters and I went on a food adventure last Friday. For the first time, three of us were out for a dinner without our parents nor any guardian. Not really a big deal actually.

Secondly, best wishes to Davyd and Ruth! Congratulations on your union! May you two lead a blissful and God-centered life. It was an eye opener for me, somehow. As it was my first time attending a Christian wedding. The procedures and preparations were sure tedious! Hats off to the bride, groom and the team!

Thirdly, Clara and I joined Gladys' church service last evening. I may have forgotten the sermon, the praise worship songs that we sang. One thing that I can vividly remember is, SPEAK TO YOUR FUTURE. (Amen)

Fourthly, I visited the Singapore Flyer with my sisters, my uncle and his girlfriend earlier this afternoon. All I could say, its good to experience what is it like on such a high altitude. But, truthfully, not much of an excitement after all. Probably the night lights are more stunning.

Fifthly, Nicole had pizza hut for dinner. Scrumptious and filling!

Lastly, it's Mother Tongue 'O' Level tomorrow. Feeling neutral now, but I guess the anxiety will overflow tomorrow morning. All the best, folks!

My dearest baby boy was in Singapore last week (20-24 May). His concert was the bomb, best ever! I even had a photograph taken with him! Well, that's the privilege of joining his official international fan club. He is the very first ever idol without airs I've seen, treating his fans like his closest kin.

Ah! That is why I love him so much! He addresses us fans as, wives and brothers. Supposedly initial plans were, him coming to Singapore for two shows but eventually only one because he wanted to see Singaporeans' response to his concert. Partly because three years ago, his very first concert-performance in Singapore was unfortunately not full house thus he somehow lost confidence about having two shows consecutively.

But it was all different this time! It was full house and the concert-goers were more than excited, screaming and cheering wholeheartedly. That includes yours truly, of course! During his concert, he mentioned that there is an 80% likelihood of him coming to Singapore for an encore.

I'm already looking forward to his encore concert even though it was just a few days ago. He said his company has already made plans with Singapore. He also promised that he will come back to Singapore very soon. I miss him already! Before he departed Singapore, he attended a press conference and he told the media that if Singapore misses him, just watch TV, because he appears on Channel U, 5pm daily! (Except for the weekends)

Looking forward to his upcoming visit to Sg!!!!!!

Bobby pins and butterfly pins make our fringes go haywire. When wearing a hair band for long hours, the back of our ears get uncomfortable.Whereas this "special" hair equipment doesn't. When this "special" hair equipment is removed from our head, our fringe goes back to its original state just so magically. From what I know, I think Singapore hasn't brought this product in yet, it is from Japan and I can only buy it on the net.

I had a spelling test during English period this morning. I have this strong gut feeling of mine telling me that I spelt, athlete, embarrassed and argument wrongly. I was so angry with myself because I spelled athlete as athelete, embarrassed as embarassed, and argument as arguement.

Redundant alphabets and additional ones, for nuts..... SERIOUSLY.

The worst thing was, I spelt argument incorrectly. I initially was quite confident and spelt it correctly, BUT the extremely itchy fingers of mine meddled, argument, for don't know who's sake. Unknowingly and irritatingly added an extra alphabet 'E' behind 'U'. That sucks, totally.

Side-note: Mister Af aka Mr F (our former drama coach) is a member of Juz-B, an acapella band! Search them up on the net. Freaking cool.

Making Love Out Of Nothing At All

--Edit: 23:11 I take back my words about Monga being the first movie that I've ever cried in the cinemas. The very first time when I teared in the cinema while watching an extremely emotional film was about three or four years ago. I caught that movie with my church friends. The film that I caught was called, Helen The Baby Fox. If I can find the DVD, I'll definitely purchase it! So, Monga makes it my second film that I've ever cried in the pitch dark cinema!

It was my first time crying in the cinemas. This movie was too emotional, we three (Amirah, Clara and I) were snivelling towards the end of the movie. Mosquito and Monk were the highlights of the show. Clara was exclaiming throughout every close-up of Mark Chao, "Woah, very handsome hor! HANDSOME!!"

The movie was in Chinese plus Taiwanese. Taiwanese sounds somewhat like the Hokkien dialect, just a little differences here and there in certain pronunciations. Oh, their vulgarities were basically the same as Hokkien! Just as vulgar! HAHAHA! Even Amirah understands certain words that were vulgar to the max! Very crude but it was all about the gust, absolutely worthwhile!

Ya Kun Kaya Toast accompanied us throughout the movie. Teh-peng, iced coffee and kaya toast! This is the best Chinese film I've watched, ever! Really good! You should watch it and identify it yourself. Don't tell me you don't like it because if you say so, I don't know how do you gauge a good film. Alright, goodbye!

Today was freakinggggg humid, I perspired like a b/w cow. So, my cohort had our NAPFA/PFT in the afternoon, it was moderately alright, just that the weather sucks. Also, my little toe bled profusely last night, itchy fingers of mine, I literally plucked my nail off. I think I'm insane, injuring myself out of the blue. HAHA......

By the way, YiWai, JunWei, 'Amirah, JiaHuan and CaiNing visited my crib earlier after PFT. We caught this Korean movie called, A Moment To Remember. (500% highly recommended by N.'A.J.) Apparently we didn't tear a single bit which A said we will definitely tear. Apart from the tears, the plot was quite emotional.

Off to the shower after the 7pm channel 8 drama, which is ending in ten minutes.

I had another weird dream last night. I dreamt that I was late for English remedial, so I quickly called my English teacher and told her I'm already late, can I not turn up. Then she told me, no one came anyway, she will be postponing it instead. In my opinion, she is definitely one of my favourite English teachers in school.

A pity in reality, she has already left the school to pursue advanced studies. (That's what I think) Oh and, I just checked my mobile and realised, I do not have her number saved in my contact list.

Dear family (SHOW addresses us fans as family),

I'm Show Luo. The autograph session at Shenzhen, China today was really upsetting because I could not help out a single effort. There were just too many people at the plaza and the organisers had to stop the whole autograph session half-way. I was really upset because I saw everyone's disappointed faces, and could not bear to leave you all at the plaza without getting my autograph.

At that moment, I was really furious! I kept discussing with the organisers if they could accommodate a little longer and allow the autograph session to carry on. But the organisers said that if I were to continue to the autograph session, they will send me to the police station. In that situation, I was told by my management that I was left with no way out and I had to leave the plaza right away.

But me, SHOW LUO, I will never disappoint my family! So I discussed with my management and told them to accommodate all my family members to come over to the hotel that I'm lodging over. Thank you, “Show Fans Club” otherwise known as SFC to notify the rest that were unaware of the sudden change of venue for the autograph session. Today was definitely an unforgettable experience. Well, even though the autograph session at the plaza was cancelled half-way, I still have my means and ways to solve that issue, because, I'm Show Luo, nothing is impossible for me!

p/s: Apologies to some members that were unaware that the autograph session was shifted to the hotel!

Quite a successful attempt, say 65%, I suppose. I can't believed that I actually enjoy the process when painting my nails. Frankly speaking, I am not really a person into nail accessories. There was once at Amirah's crib when everyone was busy with their nails but I wasn't fascinated a single bit. I just watched them paint and I wasn't feeling bored. But I guess this should be part and parcel to every young girl's life, yes? Like dolling and pampering yourself with beautiful clothes and accessories.

I had the weirdest dream ever last night.
For a moment I thought I was Princess Zena...

I left my nail polish at quite a deserted multi-storey carpark, I told my family to wait downstairs and I went to retrieve it. I dreamed that I was some warrior saving two young actresses. They were at the multi-storey carpark selling their bodies for the directors to take them for movies.

So I walked up the stairs and I heard weird noises, it was a pair of actress and director publicly displaying their affection for each other. (Aye, get a room!) I thought it was nothing and thought it was quite normal but as I went further up. I saw a different pair of actress and director doing the same thing. I felt disgusted and quickly ran to the level where I left my nail polish.

After retrieving my polish, I ran to the stairway and obviously I ran past the actresses and directors... I do not where did I pluck my courage from, I shouted loudly and patted on the director's shoulder and quickly ran out. I actually jumped down from the multi-storey carpark and down to a lorry.

The directors and actresses were caught in the news the next day. What a joke! Wonder if there is really such things happening. All I can say is what a weird dream about nail polish and a mildly isolated multi-storey carpark!

The very day Clara, her brother and I visited Body Worlds. Okay, I thought it was called Body Works before I visited the official website for more information. Say, initially the exhibition was quite interesting and fresh to me. But towards the middle, I felt a bit bored because basically the whole exhibition was sort of repeating, just that it was different body parts.

So I technically looked/browsed through the whole exhibition, quite fun. But I guess probably because I'm not a person into the life sciences. It was still an eye opener like, I got to know how the inner parts of the body actually looked like, in fact quite disgusting.

After the exhibition, I told Clara that I felt like satisfying my crave for ramen. Or was it her? I can't remember specifically. It was one of us who craved for ramen. So we made our way to town, 313, because I have never been there before. (Yes, I've not been to Marina Barrage nor the Universal Studio Sg before) So we made our way to 313 basement, walked around aimlessly and found Ramen play. Their ramen is really superb, its costs were quite of an average for students, I guess.

Speak words to build, not tear down. Speak words of encouragement, not words of criticisms.

I do quite look forward to the week ahead because the common test is about to halt for the time being. Even though it is coming to an end, I still have to constantly remind myself that common test is just like another other class test. Just that is seems slightly more solemn because it is conducted in the hall. (Aka: Training us for the national examination)

The largest stumbling block will be the O levels. Sometimes I just think to myself if I'm really ready. Am I the studying sort? I really wonder. Seeing people doing so well in JC or Poly do make me feel a pinch. But say, if I'm really not the sort of people cut out for studying, studying so much now really doesn't mean anything for my future.

I know I may sound like a pessimist, but really, how many would understand? Because every student in Singapore is so competitive and is everyone is worrying about their education, their certificates. My parents and my relatives constantly remind me about how important the certificates can do for my career in future.

I have dreams of what I am aspired to be and my family is very supportive of it, but I know if I tell them now that I dislike studying and wish to stop studying now, I bet they will scream at me. But, if studying really isn't for me, I really hope my family will still support me nonetheless.

I won't tell them about how I feel about schooling now, but I will tell them only when I receive my O level results whether good or bad. I really wish to stop schooling and would really love attend the private sectors like the NAFA or LASELLE. Perhaps I'm really more into the arts school. In particular, performing arts.

Not telling them now because I do not want them to worry. At least after my O levels, I'll be more settled with the certificate, at least their hearts will be at much ease. I do not want to live a life with regret not completing secondary education. I also do not want to disappoint a handful of teachers who have faith in me. Okay, not in terms of doing absolutely well in academics, but at least a few teachers who have faith in me, believing that I can carve out something in future.

I'll try to study what I can now, but I will definitely be sure that I'll not do as well compared to my peers. What I know is, I'll do what I can and I'll see what happens next. Don't worry, I know what I'm doing. I'm pretty sure of what I wish to do in my tertiary life. And most importantly, I will live a life of contentment that breeds joy with my beloved family and my lovely friends.

That's more important than anything, really.

Show Luo’s brand new world tour “3D WORLD LIVE TOUR” will incorporate 3D elements, making it the first ever in a concert! “3D WORLD LIVE TOUR” will kick off from Hong Kong in April. It sold out two shows in Taipei within a week of ticket launch, and an additional afternoon matinee show was added due to popular demand.

Inspired by the movie “Avatar”, “3D WORLD LIVE TOUR” will use the latest technology, allowing concert goers to experience virtual reality in a concert hall, without the use of 3D glasses. In addition to the usual dance and song routine, this concert will also see Show Luo taking on magical illusions!

Starring the top two male idols in Taiwan today, Ethan Ruan and Mark Zhao, Monga is Taiwan's blockbuster of the year which tells the story of five boys from the historical district of Monga in Taipei, who join a gang because they were tired of being bullied around.

As the young men enjoy their newfound status as gangsters in Monga, they have no idea that other gangs have also set their eyes on this prosperous area. Under the guidance of a veteran gangster, the youngsters are taught the heritage created by the founders of the borough of Monga. CNY is always so happening, visiting and meeting up with friends and relatives you've not met for the longest time. This CNY was really special because I managed to catch up with my best folks from primary school and the best teacher-couple one can find on planet earth! Tell me if this isn't pure joy then what is it?

CNY is always a festive occasion that one will excuse himself to be munching all the assorted goodies and drinking carbonated drinks to one's heart content. So I'm like everyone, because we're all human beings, yes? Love letters, pineapple tarts and all those CNY goodies are definitely to die for.

So... I came up with an abstinence from all sorts of sweet drinks. I wonder how long I can tolerate, but let's just see how long can I resist the temptations.
