Socially responsible citizens

My temperature rose up to 37.9 degrees celsius this morning in school. I did not feel feverish but still, I was asked by Mr Chan WC to see a doctor and rest at home. So I did as he said.

I just got back from the polyclinic and just had a good hot shower. The doctor said my throat got infected quite badly thus everyone is hearing me cough non stop for the past two weeks. The doctor prescribed lozenges, tablets and liquids. I hope these medicines do work well. Oh and, no school for me for the next two days as I am on medical leave. Alright, I'm off to take my medicines.

Mrs Tang just called me to ask how I was feeling. She was extremely shocked to see my temperature shoot up so high. Thank God for her concern, she's really more like a mother to us than a form teacher.

Till next time,
NICOLE

King of Pop

Rest In Peace, Mr. Michael Joseph Jackson

“It is believed he suffered cardiac arrest in his home. However, the cause of his death is unknown until results of the autopsy are known.” Michael's brother Jermaine said.

Coincidentally, Amirah, Clara and I were happily singing "Beat It" on Guitar Hero, yesterday. It was a tough song to sing to word for word.

A date with The Band

Thank you, camera girl: Gladys!

4 3 2 1
Like totally for sure
I've even got my manicure
The sun, I swear
It's bleaching up my hair

Red purple yellow green
What's the colour of my theme
I don't know I don't care
How should I do my hair

Go go fight fight
Gee, I hope I look alright
Like go, like go, like go team go

Yeah!

Services And Complaints

Last Friday Rojak went Wild Wild Wet. Two happenings occurred throughout our explore at WWW.

One was, I witnessed the ugliness of Singapore's service. And the other was an accusation of an unreasonable woman. You can read these long passages if you're interested.

Happening #1

A family of three, mother and two toddlers. They were not local as their mother spoke like an American-Filipino. So we were all in the queue in this special room. This room only issued tickets to customers with certified cards and all those one-to-one procedures and stuff.

Well, that's not the issue. The little commotion started when the WWW staff told that mother that she could not purchase tickets in this room because she did not have any special cards that allowed her to shorten her queue.

That mother got a bit mad and told the WWW staff, "I've been queuing for the past ten minutes and no one told me where I should queue!"

The WWW staff replied, "There are sign boards assigned to where you can purchase the tickets."

That mother answered angrily, "Adrian, it is my first time here and I do not know where to purchase tickets thus I came in here!"

(The WWW staff had a name tag on his shirt)

The WWW staff saw that the mother got a bit mad, so he changed to a lighter tone and told that mother, "Sorry Ma'am, but you can't queue here."

That mother was really pissed and quickly took a feedback form and asked for the WWW staff's surname, "Adrian, what is your surname?"

"Tan."

After writing some words on the feedback form, that mother left with her two kids. I guess she was really disgusted with the service by the staff. I finally understood why PM Lee mentioned that Singapore's service still has room for improvement. I mean, with such service that I witnessed at WWW, I finally understood.

I am just pointing out my own views and opinions. Definitely WWW was not the only tourist attraction venue that had such a service serviced to Singaporeans and tourists. In fact I think the services in Singapore still have a lot to improve on.

After saying so much, I am sure there are still good services hidden around. Those that really put on a genuine smile even though the customers who stays in the boutique for long and in the end decides not to purchase any items. That should be the way, Singaporeans!

The Account of An Unreasonable Woman

Happening #2

There was this unreasonable woman (aka UW) that accused us of jumping queue while waiting to hop onto a slide. There were two distinctive queues, so the lifeguards told us to move forward so that we would not congest the pathway.

That UW saw us walking towards the other queue which was shorter so she started saying towards us, "Aren't you all considered jumping queue?"

She said it in a tone as if we really had the bad intention of getting into her way. But the fact was, the lifeguard told us to move forward. Initially we had the good intention of explaining to her why we moved forward, but that UW got really unreasonable.

So we decided to do it the hard way, and told her, "But the lifeguard told us to move forward."
UW replied, "Yes, but it is still considered jumping queue isn't it?"

She contradicted herself by saying 'yes' and still mentioned that we jumped her queue when the actual fact was we were just following the lifeguard's instructions. I mean which part of her could not understand, "THE LIFEGUARD TOLD US???"

I did not want to make a scene, so I told that UW, "Okay, okay, we'll queue behind you alright?"

Yes, we gave in to her but that merely lasted for 2 minutes. Why was that so, because the lifeguard walked towards us for the second time and asked, "You girls are in a group of?"

(He was puzzled why we were at the back when he actually told us to move forward a moment ago)

We replied "Four."
Lifeguard, "Okay, please move forward."
We girls pointed to that UW and replied, "We can't, she will scold us."

The lifeguard insisted the four of us to move forward to that original queue. Obviously that UW gave us looks but still we followed that lifeguard's instructions.

(Giggles)

Hello UW, at times it is good to let go. You need not follow rules too tightly. Always remember, the rules are dead, while us, human beings, are alive and are able to play about the rules with a good intention.

-- I hope you readers understood this account. Say, if you were in our shoes, would you want to be wrongly maligned of something you did not do and get accused wrongly of something which was not your intention? Please, all of us should be reasonable citizens. That would definitely beautify our nation.

Four men in Vegas

I watched The Hangover yesterday online. It is quite a good comedy but just rather vulgar. I think it is not in local theatres due to its massive vulgarities and I think it is rated R21 because there are a couple of nude scenes. Overall I rate it 4/5.

An astonishing article

I was very astonished to hear that Fox is a-man-now-turned-woman! I was telling Amirah the other day and she told me she's hot. I totally agree with her and replied, her surgery was like perfect and couldn't tell at all.

She's the real man! I can't wait for Transformers 2 and look for loopholes of her actions like a man. (Giggles)

Here's the article: Megan Fox Is A Man

Mermaids on the run

Note: Limited photographs, because the rest are too much of an exposure. Yes, we didn't take many photographs, but most importantly we had great fun @ WWW.

Bikini bay for the girls, if I didn't remember wrongly, its Muscle bay for the guys? (Chuckles)

Pale looking faces after 4 hours of fun.

Wild Wild Wet was a worthwhile trip. We girls sure had lots of fun on the slides. Especially on that U-shaped 90 degrees slide. (Grins)

Stage my desired show

1. 25 photographs all in good order, do enjoy!
2. Show Luo's the one with the striking red cap.
3. WWW with Rojak, photographs coming up on my next post!

June 7, 2009: Show Luo arrived Sg

The trip to HDB Toa Payoh Hub was definitely a fruitful and worthwhile one. I remembered the rehearsals began at 3pm sharp.

The actual performance that Show Luo put up with his b/w clothings.

June 8, 2009: Show Luo leaving Sg for Taipei

Show's cousin, Ah Xiong holding that yellow toy.

That black paper bag was the gift I passed to Show's cousin, Ah Xiong. I even wrote a card in Traditional Chinese which was terribly tough... But nevertheless I managed to scrape through. (Grins)

Urgh! Even his back view was utterly mesmerising!

I have a few videos uploaded on YouTube, check them out at http://www.youtube.com/nieeekole. Here's one below,
